Instant Upgrades

One of the things mentioned in Skywards renewal letter is that you'll soon be able to upgrade at check-in time or on-board using your Skywards miles.

This sounds good on paper, but I wonder how often it will be used? Surely if you wanted to upgrade, you'd have done it as early as possible via the Skywards centre?

Cheers,
Rick

I think this will be most used on routes where there are a lot of no-show pax.

I can think of many instances when the J cabin has been completely oversold, and I have to really push my TA to get seats - but once I am onboard the cabin is empty.

Cheers
