1st time EK Flyer
I would be travelling to LOS from JFK via DXB. i leave on the 22nd, at 10am.i am pretty excited about the flight as i am not only in love with dubai's infrastructure but also the EK service. seen a lot great reviews on different websites.I wish i could see more of Dubai city, but my layover is for only 2hrs.but i still have a question, on a 12hr flight to DXB,what are some of the activities i could engage in to help put out time and anxiety.I know there would IFE's but dont know what EK offers.my longest time on a plane is 8hrs,usually from AMS on KLM and they have lil IFE.
i would appreciate your suggestions.i am flying economy too.

Welcome to Emirates Airlines!
Your flight will have the ICE-systrem for entertainment - so 12 hours flight time are too short to discover all ICE has to offer.
You will have more than 600 choices (films, music, games etc.)!
You will get an idea what films are available on your flight, when you search on Emirates.com.

The updated seats are near vertical lie flat, have walnut wood around all ports and the tv has a huge screen, - the biggest I've seen in fact. The seats themselves are multi function and are plenty wide (I am 5'11 and 175 lbs).
I too was worried about these seats and on my return flight was upset that I didn't take the 777-300ER back to JFK.
The food also happened to be much better on the outbound 777.

NOT AT ALL!!! (if you are on EK 204). I took this flight two weeks ago and I will say that I MUCH preferred this segment than I did on EK 201 (A340-500) returning to NY.

OP, the economy seats are quite narrow and that's where most of the complaints come from (10 accross on emirates, 9 on most other airlines).
That said, i must agree that the 777-300ER is most comfortable in both J and F

I have no problem with the seats, yes - little narrow, but the seat pitch is comfortable, which is more important for me.
