Emirates and Virgin Atlantic

Can anyone tell me if you can get Virgin miles travelling on Emirates if you use your Virgin Flyer card instead of skywards ?

I ask as I have noticed that virgin and emirates apppear to code share still on US flights into Lodon Gatwick(source BBC Cefax page 446) (either that or they have exactly the same flights)

I suspect the confusion is coming from the fact that both EK and VS codeshare on the flights operated by CO metal...

EK and VS do have flight agreements (the VS-issued tickets ex The Middle East used to include to the first few sectors on EK and then the transatlantic sector on VS) but no real FF deal. I think their partnership may have changed since VS introduced LHR-DXB-LHR flights

Cheers
