Online Seat Requests

I am travelling Business Class and would like to request a seat online. Is this possbile if I am not a Skywards member yet ?

I have a booking reference and can see the flight details using "retreive my booking" but do not see how to request a seat.

Any help is welcome

No, you can only chose a seat online when you are doing the online booking. You can also book your limo at this stage.

Once you have completed the booking, you'll need to phone your local Emirates office to requests seats and limo.

Cheers,
Rick

Hi
The best thing to do is join SKYWARDS on line from your local Emirates web site. This will give you a membership number, then phone your local office (the next day) gine your number and flight info. You can then request the seat's you want. This will later apear on your on-line account.
You will also get miles that you can redeame later if you wish good luck...

Wink Thanks for information

Thank you for your information. I have been advised to hold on joining Skywards until within 6 months of flight to get more miles on my initial trips with EK. With that in mind I phoned EK London office and requested the seats I wanted.

Now I can sit back an wait ...until the plane changes ......

Hi
Not sure how holding off will get you aditional miles, you have a much better chance of keeping your seats if you are a member than not. Also means you can use your membership baggage tags on your first flight !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
now you can't miss that.....

Wink More miles for the first trip...

I was told when I rang Skywards that if I took my first trip within 6months of joining there may be better rewards for it.

Do not worry I wil have the tags 5 months before travel...

Ah, yes, here you go...

'Start reaping the rewards of your Skywards membership from the moment you join and earn from 2,500 up to 5,000 bonus Miles for your first flight as a Skywards member. To take advantage of this new member reward, all you have to do is take your first flight with Emirates or SriLankan within six months of joining and we'll credit your account with free Skywards Miles for doing so!'

3,500 extra miles for a J class booking.

Cheers,
Rick

What extra benefits do you get if you join 6 months after?

FWIW, even if the benefits were plenty I would still join right away. The hassle of sending in Boarding Cards etc is not fun

I think that Jerseylily has booked a flight for next year, and over six months away. If she joins Skywards now, she won't get the 3500 mile bonus when she flys.

Cheers,
Rick

Exactly, she has to fly within 6 months after enrolment, otherwise she wont be entitled to receive the first flight bonus miles.
