JFK-DXB in C, what to Expect?
I'm traveling JFK-DXB-MRU on 8/18 on the 340-500, and every review I find is of Y or F, so does anyone have any idea at all what its like back there in cattle... I mean economy class?
Does the ICE have the same programming as in Y and F? Is there a power port for laptops? Is wi-fi operational?
I'm not really as interested about the DXB-MRU runs, because those (8/20 down and 8/26 back) seem to be on older aircraft and they're overnight and it seems like they're not much to speak of one way or the other.
What's the meal service on these flights though? Leaving at 11:30PM I would assume there's just breakfast and then lunch, but it lands at 8PM DXB time so is there Dinner too to combat jetlag? How about to MRU, leaving at 2:55AM and arriving at 9AM? And on the return, MRU-DXB leaves at 11PMish and arrives at 6AMish, so is that like breakfast or nothing? And DXB-JFK at 8AM, Breakfast then Lunch?
I tried to look this up online but the flights seem sold out so I couldn't do the first class trick.

according to timetable
According to EK timetable, EK 202 JFK to DXB will feature a light meal after take off (a simplified dinner), refreshment midflight, and brunch prior to arrival.
Both DXB to Mauritus, and return will feature a savory snack after takeoff (sandwiches and fruits), and then a breakfast prior to arrival in both directions. The flight is only around six to seven hours.
EK 201 DXB to JFK will feature breafast after takeoff, refreshment mid flight, and lunch prior to arrival.
Information is subject to change, and the definition of light meal, snack, and refreshment can vary greatly.
Carfield
PS. Please tell us about it when you come back. It will be helpful for folks, who are looking for those informations. I personally wonder what a refreshment is on the JFK to DXB flight. For Y, it is possibly a sandwich snack, and for F, it is a la carte, but for J, it can a mix of everything. It is like twelve hours and fifty minutes going to Dubai, and fourteen hours and ten minutes going back to JFK.
