Reduced award availability?
It was my understanding the Emirates does not have a separate fare bucket for award bookings as most other airlines have. In other words, you could get an award booking as long as there were seats available in the class you wished to travel.
However, I've just been trying to book an award itinery, and I've been struggling to find availability. I though this was strange, so I checked the revenue fares, and there is plenty of availability on the same flights.
I do hope that Emirates have not changed their policy without a bit of prior notice.
Anyone got any further information on this?
Cheers,
Rick

I booked award inventory about a month ago at Christmas DXB - LON, at that time they told me that award inventory came straight out of the standard fare bucket. I do not know which fare class, but I had no trouble getting two award tickets.
