EK is certainly spending the money on new lounges both in SYD and PER.

The SYD lounge is a joint F/J lounge, near the gate, one level down, and a copy of the DXB lounge. The food is excellent, which cannot be said of the food in F onboard SYD-DXB. Also, no caviar service.

Thanks for the update ^

If you don't mind me asking...

How many showers are there?
How many computers are there?

The lack of both these things are somewhat annoying in Dubai. Only 1 or 2 shower rooms, and only 9 or 10 computers (which may seem like a lot - but compared to the traffic you can get at peak times, it is not enough)

Cheers

The AKL lounge has 2 and the BNE lounge has 3 showers. I imagine SYD is similar?

AKL has about 4 computers, BNE about 9.

AKL yes. All 3 flights leave within an hour or so. Every seat taken. Queues for bathroom

BNE - I cant imagine it would be crowded. Reasonable size and only one flight at a time.

That's too bad. Seems to be happening on luonges across the network. The DXB lounge has queues for everything if you happen to go at the wrong time

Cheers
