Baggage Interline EK to AF in DXB???

Baggage Interline EK to AF in DXB???
I have read about problems (in some cases) where EK isn't so great at interline baggage to other carriers. I think I remember someone posting a thread about EK refusing to do it in Cairo. Anyone have any info if EK will (or most importantly is it safe) interline EK to Air France at DXB, especially if I am coming from Male (MLE)?
I also read that there are strict baggage limits on flights to the Maldives (on EK) and also on the air taxis. Any info or experiences?

Thi srule apply regardless the class of travel...BUT some agaents at DXB are helpful than others if you wana try your luck
