EK Flight Delay

Anyone know what happened here?

02-Oct-2005

FLIGHT NUMBER : EK 0008
London - Dubai Status: Not Departed

Airport: London Heathrow Apt Airport: Dubai
Expected Terminal: 3 Expected Terminal: 1
Re-scheduled Time of Departure: 1000 2 days Later Estimated Time of Arrival: 2001 2 days Later

Not like EK at all - their planes are normally reliable
The inbound flight seemed fine.
Looks intriguing

What has happend to A6-EKY

Yesterday (02/10/05) EK0007 was serviced with A6-EKY an Airbus 330-243 (332-FJY), I think it is still there as it has not been logged after 06:16GMT yesterday.
I wonder if it is having major work done or there were to few pax so they consolidated it with EK0012 (LGW 10:00am,1 hour by bus on a Sunday)?

Where / how can you tell if a plane has been logged?

Cheers,

Many aircraft are equipped with ACARS, this is I suppose to simplify as Computerised Radio Teletype which sends out short messages while in flight.

This ACARS listening station is located Birmingham UK, http://acarsbhx.no-ip.info:8080 wait a few minuets and live transmissions should appear, use the search tab at the top of the page to interrogate the database.

List of other ACARS listening stations can be found at: http://www.acarsd.org/webserver.htm

Caution: the law on receiving aircraft radio transmissions varies from country to country so be careful, particularly if you live in Greece.

A6-EKY did depart yesterday (04/10/05) on or before 10:00am as EK008D.

I think the postfix D may denote delayed, my experience of delayed flights normally starts with your fight is delayed 2 hours, and then the delay gets longer and longer, and longer and so on.

I have had two experiences of delays with Emirates:
I think they always do things more efficiently in DXB, thats were I have always been upgraded, appears selection is done by computer at DXB as opposed to who can make the biggest noise at check in like in other places.
