Baggage allowance question

I am on a RTW in C through the US so the piece concept applies (2x32 kgs). Does EK not allow C pax an extra piece, like, for example Staralliance carriers? It doesn't say on the website.

Thanks

Nope, no extra piece when flying in F/J - just the 2

However Skywards Silver and Gold do get extra allowance (not sure how much)

Smile Baggage

You will not have any problems if you are in C. Do this all the time with Emirates - they are great!!

This may not be directly relevant; take the published baggage allowances very seriously when stopping over in DXB. I have had multiple issues no matter what class I traveled - particularly with the 32 KG per bag issue - they told me that they would gladly take the extra 4 kgs in an additional bag but would not let the overweight bag through.....

Generally this has something to do with the airports. Some airports refuse to handle baggage that is over 32kg (eg LHR, LGW...) due to risk of their baggage handlers getting injured and suing

Cheers

This makes EK the only airline I know that doesn't give extra allowance for C pax...weird.
