Seating Allocation
I would appreciate it if anyone could advise whether EK provide advance seating allocations for United PremEx's.
The flights will be EK405 SIN-DXB and EK404 DXB-SIN. I think it is a three class 777-200.
Thanks

The example I referred to enables you to do just that, however as Emirates don't use Amadeus I was wondering if there is a different site that does the same.

Emirates seat availability
Hi bravoecho
The link to Emirates seat availability is below. It works. It is part of a thread on Dec 04, 2004 if you want to read the whole thread.
You have to download the availabilty tool, which Matthias from Cologne/Germany has provided for the flyertalkers.
Click on the following link and download the first picture (version 1.64).
http://www.stud.ntnu.no/~hartberg/ft/SabretoolSetup.exe
The tool works only every five hours for 2 hours (too avoid too much server traffic).
Once the tool is set up, you can put in your flights, let;s say:
DUS to DXB; date 01/05; flight time 14:00; airline ek.
Then the tool will display availibility in all classes (not only F,J and Y, but all different price classes in Y (W,M,B,K etc).
If you will find K9, it means that there are 9 or more seats to sell in this price class.

I'm trying to find such a site too. The Emirates website only shows passenger's itineries.
Speaking to the Skywards services centre I've been told that the reservation system they use is called Mars. Looking that up I see it is owned by the IT division of Emirates.
Does anyone know of any alternative ways to look up Emirates bookings so as to see seat maps etc. like one can do with Gallileo, Sabre, Worldspan Amadeus Checkmytrip?

The company Matthias has worked for shut down this link some time ago.

I am travelling in Y from LGW-JNB next month and just called to reserve seats and was told that I couldn't do this unless I am a member of Skywards. Is this correct? I was hoping to earn Continental onepass miles for the flight and don't want to have to enrol in Skywards but then I don't want to have to sit in a middle seat either.
Is there a way for me to reserve seats in Y without being a member??
Thanks.

They are hoping that by joining Skywards, you are aware of all the benefits you get - even at the blue level and are compelled to stay with them.
The main 2 benefits are a direct call centre (much faster and more efficient than EK offices) and advance seating
