Skywards Silver Questions
I just realized that I'm gonna be Skywards Silver soon (it doesn't seem to be too difficult) and their perks seem rather nice.
For example, there's the lounge access thingamajig in Dubai and Colombo.
But what I'm really after is the thing that says "free excess baggage allowance". Is there a limit to that? Bear in mind that I'm a Filipino, and I have the potential to abuse that. I can imagine the amount of baggage that my parents are going to saddle with me (I once had 5 kilograms of rosaries as carry-on luggage, among other things, when I was returning to MNL from FCO)
Plus, are there any other perks that the Emirates website doesn't mention?

Though I had a problem with that one returning to the UK from BKK with 40Kg hold baggage and very little carry-on, the check-in Clark asked if could take some of it as carry-on as I was over the limit, I pointed out that the big bag (clearly endorsed with Scuba flag and logos) was sports equipment and there should be no problem.
She asked 3 other members of staff who obviously supported my claim before she proceeded to book me in.
