First EK F-Class Experience
I flew DEL-DXB-LHR and return on 28 Feb and 6 March. I had higher expectations from EK first class service than I experienced.
The quality and choice of food on all legs of the journey was outstanding. The Dom was most welcome! However, the consistency of service was great only on the DEL-DXB-DEL segment. On the way back to Delhi, I had fallen asleep with my seat reclined and woke up to find that the friendly cabin staff had covered with a blanket.....great personal touch.
The A330s they fly to Delhi are positively more comfortable in F. The seat leg rests are parallel to the floor and recline better than on the B777s they used on the LHR route. The B777 seats are positively unconfortable and the cabin feels very very crowded. The crew on the leg into LHR were positively non-attentive and busy chattering amongst themselves.
The DXB lounge was very very crowded on the return leg on the 6th. It wasn't easy finding a seat that morning!
On the whole, their A330 F cabin is far superior and I wish they would use that on the longer haul than the B777, which I have sworn never to fly again!
All in all EK first class was on par with SQ C-class. But then I should have expected that based on reading the forum!
