Emirates Seating Guide

A380

First:
  1. Solo travelers: some say row 4 is loud from the galley behind, while row 1 may be a bit more cramped than other rows. Most suggest rows 2 or 3, seats A or K.
  2. Couple: E/F seats in rows 1-3 are all fairly similar.
Business:
  1. General: the mini cabin at the back has a more secluded feel, though some comment that there is noise from the bar beyond row 23.
  2. Solo travelers: most prefer seats A and K (solo seats on sides with windows).
  3. Couple: aim for seats E/F to be closer together.
Economy:
  1. General comments: upgrade if at all possible!

777

First:
  1. Solo travelers: Row 1, especially 1a and 1k, is the worst because of galley and lavatory right in front. Noisy and high traffic. Not much difference between row 1 and 2 in terms of space on the 77w for k or a seats.
  2. Couple: there is not really any difference between row 1 and 2 for e and f seats except 1 is near the galley and 2 is near row 6 in j where there may be children
Business:
  1. General: There is limited direct aisle access as the configuration is 2-3-2. The rear J cabin will have Y pax move through on boarding.
  2. Solo travelers:
  3. Couple: 7 j and k are great if you don't mind the missing window. It's in the private mini cabin - a great choice unless you like window gazing. You also don't get y traffic passing through this cabin as you turn left on entry!
Economy:
  1. General comments: Y on the 777 is for slim people.

Thanks! I ended up booking all of row 23 for all 4 of us. Her mother is claiming she wants to stay the bar the whole flight, so my wife and I may end up with E&F and give her parents A & K...

Bassinet positions, non-gamechanger 777 F

Does anyone know where the bassinet position is on the non-gamechanger 777s in F? When I called in ahead of time, I was told they were at 1E and 1F (which is why they were blocked until OLCI). And the reservations system seems to have bassinets listed at bulkhead when I call in and ask (in addition to the seat map on the reservation page).

But at OLCI, I see bassinet logos at 2E and 2F, not 1E and 1F. This aligns with what's on the set maps here: https://www.emirates.com/in/english/...tra-long-range.

I feel pretty confident about the A380 leg, since the reservations system as well as OLCI and seat map website agree on row 1. (And, there's exactly 1 YouTube video of someone traveling w a baby in Emirates F, and they're in row 1 on the A380.)

Does anyone know where the bassinet positions actually are on the 777 in F? Thanks a ton in advance!

To answer my own question here for anyone checking this thread in the future, like the A380, even though bassinet positions on seat maps are only marked as the first (or second row), there are bassinet positions on all middle E and F seats, alongside the middle divider.

Seat selection with 1.5yo J 777-200LR

Travelling with wife and 1.5yo toddler BCN - MEX 777-200 LR in business.

How big are the dividers between the seats? Should we sit opposite aisle or adjacent to each other?

Thank you!

I’ll be flying EK347 KUL-DXB in business early next month on a 777-300ER with 2 class configuration. It’ll be 100% a 2-3-2 BC…do you think it’s also 100% sure that the seats are the older/darker one or at least I can hope for the new/light color seats?

What do you think?

PS: traveling with my wife and our baby (<2yr, but doesn’t fit anymore in the basinet crib) nd choosed 4A-4B. Other seats availlable right now are: 1A-B-C-D-E and all row 6 in the mini cabin.

See
. I believe the divider in between can be lowered.

1A and 1B have nobody in front and it feels far less cramped than the other seats. The mini cabin in row 6 is also nice, but only after takeoff. During boarding it can be quite busy as they board economy from the door right in front of it.

All 2-class 777-300ERs have the older gray seats in Business. The lighter ones are only on the last 21 -300ERs (A6-EPV till A6-EQP) and the 2-class -200LRs.

If I'm not wrong 1A-1B have the tv that come out from the central harmrest...and with the baby I think that it's inconvinient...!
My idea/hope is to keep my actual seats...and hope that BC cabin remain half empty so that we can move to the 3 central seats and lie the central one for our baby...

The TVs on the front row seats are up on the partition walls I think.

I’ve never been in the 2 class 777-300ER…! I looked on Emirates website “explore our seating chart” and it seems that in 1A-1B/1J-1K they are in the armrest….meanwhile on the other 777 the monitors are on the partition wall! I don’t know…!

The video above and several images in this review confirm that the monitor for all row 1 seats is mounted on the bulkhead.

Doing a single booking for three persons (incl. 1 child) prohibits reserving the 3 adjoining seats in row 68A-C or 68H-K as the window seat requires an adult as per emergency exit seat rules. Only circumvention seems to make two bookings (one adult booking and seat reservation for 68A/K and a second one for the other adult and child to reserve 68BC/HJ. Any other way to make a single booking online and arrange for the desired seats? Calling?

77W 3-Class New Seats

Does anyone have pointers on where to sit with the new J seats on the 77W? It looks like the forward mini-cabin is still the best bet. Obviously the window seats away from the aisle for solo travelers. Any other tips, rows to avoid, etc?

Hi everyone! I looked through this thread a bit, but at 92 pages, didn't quite find an answer. I'm flying first on EK312 with the new Suites config and trying to decide between a real window and a virtual-windowed center suite. Any thoughts?

Thank you!
