EK Business Class
I keep meaning to posta trip report about this, but can't find the time.
Anyway, a couple of points that might be useful for anoyone using EK in business class..
1) You can allocate seats in advance
2) From what I saw on 4 flights, they start serving food from the back of the cabin, so if you've strong preferences food wise, get a seat at the back.
3) Two class planes have a galley between J & Y, so this isn't as bad as it sounds. 3 class planes just have a thin wall, so it's worth avoiding the last row.
3) Avoid the A330 if possible - the seats in the B777 are much more spacious
4) The lounge at Dubai is great - champagne, extensive food buffet, loads of seats, great views etc etc.
5) On flights that leave in the early hours of the morning (i.e. 2am), they tend to serve a snack, then full breakfast before landing, so eat before you fly.
Lounges:
Manchester - Globeground
Dubai - Emirates
Kuala Lumpur - Plaza Premium
At KL, they use the secondary handling agents who are a bit elusive. Arrived on a connecting flight at 10pm for a 2am EK departure & was originally told we'd have to wait 2hrs for check-in to open. Managed to get hand written boarding cards, but any further attempt to find ground staff was futile. Received the proper boarding cards at the gate.
Hope this helps
