Guess not enough F demand out of SEA….Back to routing through LAX.

Yes to a 3-class 77L (J/W/Y) from Mar 29. Likely in anticipation of EK launching YVR on or around Mar 29, given the overlap in catchment areas between SEA/YVR.

Do you know equipment might be used on the YVR route?

There is a strong rumour of it being on the 359. Though I anticipate we will be finding out very soon if indeed a Mar 29 start date.

Copenhagen to go double daily from 1st of June and Phuket and Cape Town to receive 3 x daily flights from 1st of July.

We have to wait a longer for potential new routes to YVR and HEL and a ramp up to 5 daily MAN flights previously mentioned in this thread.

'From 1 June, a second daily service will be introduced between Dubai and Copenhagen; a third daily service between Dubai and Phuket and a third daily to/from Cape Town will come into effect from 1 July. All three services will be operated with the airline’s latest A350 aircraft, featuring its award-winning Premium Economy, in addition to the latest Business and Economy Class cabins.'

As a side note: CPH will lose the 2-class A380 on EK151/152 while going to double daily service -> from daily A380 to daily B77W + daily A359

in regards to B77L:
EK255/256 BCN/MEX -> eff 15th February with Premium Economy
EK386/387 TPE -> eff 15th March with Premium Economy -> eff 1st May with A359
EK530/531 COK -> eff 29th January 2 out of the 7 weekly flights with Premium Economy
EK606/607 KHI -> eff 1st March with Premium Economy
EK723/724 ADD -> eff 1st March with Premium Economy

It's nice to see my previously reported changes being confirmed.

EK has enough 359s on hand to operate the existing schedule and LGW when it starts in February. They would only need three more frames to be delivered by the end of March to comfortably operate FCO, HEL, and YVR. I don't think that is necessarily out of reach, especially considering the pace of the latest deliveries.

Also, don't forget there are four 77Ws being made available at the end of March as a result of the following changes:
EK009/010 LGW upgraded to the 380
EK041/042 LHR ending
EK165/166 DUB ending
EK709/710 MRU downgraded to the 77L

We will likely see a few of these aircraft get redeployed at the end of March. I would think FIH/BZV and a third daily STN would be top of the list.

The 77L schedule also shows some prominent gaps where EK931/932 TLV and EK955/956 BEY could be added around what we now know to be scheduled.

In short, there is likely more to be announced in the coming week(s).

Cheers. Excellent to hear such positive feedback.

Coincidentally a couple of recent schedule changes:

EK065/066 STN upgraded to the 77W with new F from Mar 29
EK183/184 BRU will not have the 77W with new F on Tuesday flights

Barring any more changes between now and Mar 29, with just a 9-aircraft subfleet, this will mean the entire fleet is utilized on a daily basis. This will mean the fleet could be susceptible to last minute swaps to other 4-class aircraft.

The new F will also be offered on EK067/068 STN on Jan 18, 20, 21, Feb 1 in case anyone happens to be travelling.

Another change noted:
EK721/722 NBO downgraded to the 359 from Jan 22 to Jan 29 (no F offered)

One of the appealing things for me about EK (vs say QR) is its simplicity. Now we have to remember that on Tuesdays to BRU it’s the old F, that the new F will return to STN regularly on one flight, but also on seemingly random dates on the other flight, and in another seemingly random week on one flight to NBO there’s no F.

Hope this is temporary. Especially hope the 359s being temporarily swapped in does not become a feature on other routes.

Thanks and this also means, no HEL flights so far and no PE to DUS

Emirates is finally starting daily flights to Helsinki from October 1

https://www.emirates.com/media-centr...sinki-finland/

CaptainEKAirbus Jan 13, 2026 10:41 pm

I noted a fairly substantial capacity downgrade coming to LGW for the period of Oct 1 through Nov 30:
EK009/010 LGW downgraded from a 2-class 380 to a 2-class 77W
EK015/016 LGW downgraded from a 3-class 380 to a 3-class 77W

Effectively with EK011/012 LGW operating as a 2-class 77W and EK069/070 operating as a 359, there will be about 351 daily seats lost during this period compared to the prior month.

With this update being over 6 months out, it wouldn't surprise me to see further revisions to this plan.

Dubai – Stockholm Arlanda eff 01OCT26 EK157/158

The above changes have been rescinded and will continue to operate as 77Ws (with F) as of the latest schedule update.

Excellent. A little later than I had anticipated, but great to see nonetheless. I am hopeful we will hear some more updates in the week to come.

.

So NO 380's at all to LGW in Oct/Nov.
LGW definitely out of favour now. Are loads bad?

JudeS Jan 14, 2026 5:22 am

It would also appear that there is only one flight daily from LGW to DXB that offers F! Looking to book to Australia in November and use miles for upgrade at least on second leg. I suppose if they are refurbished 777 then it might not be too unbearable! It seems to go back to 380s in December.
