STN Cabin Baggage

Travelling STN-DXB tomorrow in PE. I was thinking of taking a small wheelie bag (Eastpack) and rucksack with me on board in order to make a quick exit at DXB. However having read conflicting posts about cabin baggage rules being enforced, I'm wondering if anyone has had experience at STN on this? Happy to check in if need be, but thought it was worth checking other's experiences.

Ive never flown PE, but the three odd times I can remember flying out of STN I wasnt ask about my carry-on that is on the larger side and almost always over the prescribed weight. Actually, I can only recall once or twice being asked about my bag over hundreds of EK sectors.

I think as long as you dont go crazy, youll be fine.
