New MAN lounge opening dates?

Looking for any intel on the upcoming EK move at MAN

From various sources, EK are due to move October/ November from T1 to T2. On the BA threads, the new signage (including the sign for the ‘new’ EK lounge) have been shared on the new concourse

Is anyone aware of a planned opening date for the new T2 EK lounge?

We are travelling MAN-MLE in January, and hoping to avoid the scrum at the escape/ aspire lounges at MAN

Mentioned here recently, but not definitive.

The only thing I've heard is that they started the build of the lounge very late, and that it won't be ready for when EK move. But I don't know for sure that that's correct.

How does the drop off for EK work?
Is it to the boarding gate, and then you board in the standard J line?

yes, up some stairs to the gate at time for boarding, you’ll need to tell chauffeur company to drop at private terminal (do via ek on twitter) not done with ek yet but klm, but did ask for ek and that’s what I was told. Some tie in with aether and ek F coming…

Emirates Lounge

Emirates Lounge at Manchester Airport will be temporarily closed for renovation. Eligible customers can access the 1903 Lounge at Manchester Airport in Terminal 2.

Emirates are moving 18th November. I've used 1903 lounge a few times on QR. Prefectly OK for a 3rd party lounge.

I have used 1903 lounge and also found it ok. My worry is the amount of passangers that may be using it at any one time. This lounge is already used by Qatar (alongside a couple of others) and Etihad are to use it when they move over the week before Emirates. It can also be booked by any traveller but interestingly there seems to be some times on a day when it cannot be booked, suggesting maybe they are expecting it to be very busy, unsurprisingly around the time when the three middle east carriers would be using it.

I am flying to Man tomorrow (last day of T1) and back on Friday from T2 so let’s see the new airport experience. 1903 lounge is decent if no ek lounge for a while.

Flying on EK18 today in Business. Emirates are no longer using the 1903 lounge - now downgraded to Escape, with a roped off area at the back with no natural light. Apparently, this change started today.

It's a very poor space - it has the feel of a low quality paid lounge (which is exactly what it is).
