CGK Check in Time
Hi all,
Flying CGK-DXB on EK359 in F next month (00:40 departure). I'll be arriving in CGK early (18:30 - connecting on a separate ticket) with approx 6 hours in CGK. Anyone have any experience of when EK check in opens in Jakarta? Or failing that, anything do to landside at T3 before check in opens?

CGK check-in usually opens ~3.5 hours before departure.
No idea on what to do locally -- I brought a good book on my last self-connect (coincidentally also 18.30 arrival // midnight departure!). Many locals arrive 6+ hours before their flight so landside is frequently busy. The airport is far from the city, and traffic is never "good".

As previous poster has stated, checkin opens 3.5 hours before departure. The terminal in CGK isnt great airside and the lounge is nothing special. But having said that, I dont think you have time to do much in the local area to kill time, so I would just bare with it and check in when it opens and wait airside
