how does the stopover work?

I find the information on their website, extremely blurred, to the point that I do not manage to understand how this should work.

Does anyone have experience with this kind of stopover? is it correct that this should be organized before purchasing the flight? I would simply like to stay an extra day or two between my arrival flight to DXB and the departing one to my final destination

Would not reccomend. It is better to book a multi city route with DXB in the middle and plan your own adventure. It is a travel agent thing but ime (albeit many years ago), you typically don't get to do it on saver fares.

We have booked our upcoming flights to include a Dubai stopover and actually it took quite a lot off the total price of the trip, even taking into consideration staying at a good hotel in Dubai too. Worked out a LOT cheaper for the whole trip - although we are flying FC and ex-UK - I think it is only available in this format ex-UK but I stand to be corrected.
