Depends on how much "out of the way" it is / how much you care about spending extra time / etc. It's a great experience. Would JFK/IAD be your final destination or do you have a connecting flight anyway? If you haven't done it before and it's not too much of a pain, consider doing it, especially since it's a long route where you get to max it. The A380 suite will never look the same... :p It's pretty amazing.

I'm booked on EK405 in a few weeks.
Sadly 14 out of the last 90 flights, the gamechanger plane was subbed out for an older 777 :( |

Sadly 14 out of the last 90 flights, the gamechanger plane was subbed out for an older 777 :( However, Emirates must be getting some stick from disappointed and angry passengers who booked on 404/405 because they wanted to fly in a GC seat, and missed out because of a substitution. |

I will be on EK405 on 2nd March, and have been observing the same thing. I do like the GC F suites even though they are not as robust as the other A380 and non-GC B777 F suites, but it won't be a disaster if my flight is substituted.

That's close! Are you in F?

Sorry this hasn't worked out for you. I fly on the 7th but not holding my breath
I do wish you good luck on 7th, although I have to say the signs aren't good. If I end up flying on the same day as you, we can meet up at the MEL lounge! Stay in touch. |
