First flex ticket change of passenger
I have a first flex ticket flying in January, I have just had a medical diagnosis which could stop me flying that date, it may seem a silly question the ticket is fully paid for, if I am unable to travel could I give the ticket to my daughter for example with the appropriate cost of changing the name on the ticket.
I wont know for definite until about 7 days before I am due to fly if I will be able to go. Any opinions please I obviously dont really want to cancel the ticket just in case

Sorry about the diagnosis. Hopefully not too serious.
EK won’t allow that. I’ve tried it before on tickets I’ve purchased in advance but ended up not using. The only thing I can think of is to call them, inquire about any fare changes if you cancel and rebook with the new passenger name, and if none, then you’d get the same effect. If fares are up and you’re unwilling to spend more, then you can just cancel and get the refund.
