I'm currently Gold, way away from home and just noticed I just need one Business flight, but should I care You’ll need 93,600 additional Tier Miles and at least one qualifying First Class or Business Class flight by 30 Jun 24 to achieve a Platinum tier membership.
- I actually don't fly EK that often, but been Plat for a whole year (most likely?) is perhaps worth a business class trip to Dubai just for the kicks?I fly mostly Scandinavia -> Asia, and occasionally North and south America. I'm not a big fan of 777ER Business class with 2-2-2 (that is what we normally get here from Scandinavia)

Of course not. But going ARN-SYD will give me 58k miles one way in Flex Plus as GOLD, so 116k miles in total. Business Flex will also take me across the 93k mark. Originally Posted by DYKWIA

The question is still: what is worth for Plat.

Using the mileage calculator and your information, the 58K miles figure is probably this one?Originally Posted by DirektornSE

If so, that's the Skywards Miles, not the Tier Miles which is the 41,800 figure just below it, and these numbers are for a return journey, not a one way. If you did ARN-SYD twice in Business Flex Plus you still wouldn't have enough Tier Miles for Platinum
As others have noted, one way ARN-SYD in Flex Plus J will earn you 20,900 Tier Miles, so you’d have to do it five times more to get to Plat.
