No Socks in First

Flew DUB-DXB-BNE.

No socks available on either sector. Purser DXB-BNE said they no longer provide.

They found a thin pair in a kit provided in one of the other classes.

A serious First World problem to be sure.

Yes you're probably right in terms of being a first world problem but I have found the slippers in F on EK to be the best airline footwear around because they actually slip onto your foot and cover the whole thing. Unlike some others where your foot is exposed. I'm also confident that because of the dedicated SPA attendant on the A380, the bathrooms are kept in a very clean state. I always carry spare socks with me anyway. Were you on the 777 or 380?

Ugh, first they stopped providing them in J (the J slippers are too tight for my feet) and no in F!

First world problem indeed, but I really valued the ability to pop on some temporary socks during my flights for hygiene purposes.

Yup ...... I did ask for socks too!! I was told they no longer have them as even in J they now have slippers. The FA was apologetic and just left me a pair of slippers saying she couldn't get a hold of any socks.

They really need to bring socks back in F. It is a useful amenity and going to bed with socks on (but not slippers) is something that many F passengers like to do.

Socks arent part of the culture here, you need to rock sandals or Guccis loafers (no socks)

Folks could always choose to travel in economy as their amenity kits have socks.

I am flying F tomorrow and I will ask for a Economy amenity kit. That is what I got on a previous flight that started this topic.

That seems a better option than flying Y just because of the amenity kit…..

By the way (and OT), have the F slippers and PJ’s changed as they were rumoured to be going to? My next F trip is only in September.
