Chauffeur for 2 passengers

I am confused. My wife and I are on the same record locator but two different tickets. Do I need to book the chauffeur service for each of us? The reason I ask is when I go to "Manage Booking" it says you only booked 1 of 2 cars for each leg of the trip.

You could if you feel you need 2 cars likely if you have a lot of bags with you (or would like to travel to different locations before meeting up). If not, I would just book 1 car.

We had this recently, and thought about booking 2 cars because we had a lot of luggage. However, Emirates online chat support were clear that if we had two cars then we each had to travel in one of them - we couldn't have a second car just for the luggage. In the end they were able to confirm Mercedes V class which had plenty of luggage space, so we just went with that.

That seems odd, and Im sure the drivers wouldnt have insisted on it. Ive often had to do it when 2 of us are travelling together we booked 2 cars and used one for all the luggage and we travelled in the other

Here in BOM, I have never had drivers who have insisted that we have to sit in separate cars. We typically sit together as a family (3 pax) in 1 car and most of our luggage goes into the other. A couple of times we have spoken to the car company (Hertz previously) for EK pickups, and they have gladly provided 1 car and a separate "luggage van" which was a Toyota Innova.

For future ref, this is a discussion to be had directly with the CD company and itll be easily cleared up. You can even book two vehicles on the system and then articulate what you actually require to the CD. Same goes for timings etc..
