SIN-MEL Awards
Does anyone have any insight into the (lack of) availability and strangely high pricing on EK’s SIN-MEL fifth freedom flights? I have a DXB-SIN First Flex award booked, but would love to extend the trip down to MEL if possible. Unfortunately, first class awards seem to be completely closed out, except for a few dates very close in. I’m sure demand is high, but the same can be said for many other EK markets where they still make at least a single award available each day.

It's a daytime flight and can be redeemed through QF, a lot of whose travellers pass through SIN - hence a very popular choice for both redemption and sale.
(There's plenty of availability on the MEL-SIN flight though. One small catch - it leaves at 3AM.
