Expertflyer vs Website

Hi all,

There's an interesting availability issue I am noticing especially with FZ -- the website continues selling seats, however on Expertflyer they are 0'd out. For example, this is the availability showing from UAE POS (currently sitting in RAK) for a round trip DXB-ALA departing from T3 -- as you can see, 0 availability in Economy under FZ prime code FZ1739, 4+ in business, and the equivalent flight on EK codeshare showing 6 in Flex Plus Y:

This matches up with Emirates website for this flight, with 3 showing in Flex (booking into B class):

Now is where it gets fun: on FZ website, the FZ1721 (earlier) flight shows 1 seat left at the cheap price, whereas there are 3 seats left on the later flight (FZ1739), all in the lite fare bucket, even though Expertflyer (above) shows literally 0 seats up to Y on FZ1739. How are they still selling 3 lite fares?

I am finding more and more discrepancies between the EK website and ExpertFlyer. Both in availability searches and seat maps. Its really disconcerting that the quality of the EF information appears to be going down.

I'm on BA8 on Sep 13, and EF is showing that as cancelled... but it's still buyable on ba.com and EF has seatmaps available for the flight. Anyone care to advise if I should accept that EF is wrong here, or start looking for alternatives (I've heard nothing from BA to indicate that there's any issue, but I don't know how far I trust them either)?

Maybe you will get a better reply on the BA board then here on the EK board?
Or are you on EK8..

I decided to do a little digging and went to a good old-fashioned TA ... and they seemed to be able to see what FZ website saw. Doesn't EF directly scrape data from Sabre ? If so, why do they seem to see less than should be available? Definitely strange, perhaps I'll bring it up in the main EF thread.
