Please add your details directly into the wiki if you feel confident/have wiki-posting privileges (must be member for at least 90 days/90 posts). Alternatively, please post as normal and someone will be along to add the details here.

Etiquette guidance: Send a (polite) private message to the poster if you want to be guested in, but do NOT pester (I'm sorry to have to spell it out) - take the first answer, it might be a yes or a no. If you are expecting to be guested into a lounge, please don't expect your "guester" to do all the work such as coming to find you, it is just plain rude.

The more posts you have on FlyerTalk, the better your chances, as most people do not want to meet a complete stranger. Likewise, do not post on behalf of your friend/relative if you are not going to be there, this is for FlyerTalker users.

Please only post for Emirates lounges/entry. As the guest has to be on the same flight, add the flight number after your details in this format:
OFFER 28-FEB-2017 20:30-23:30 / PEK / EK307 / EK Lounge / Saltire74

LOUNGE OFFERS/REQUESTS: Offers are in BLUE, Requests are in RED. Use the code embedded in these two colour words before and after your text to ensure the text colour appears correctly.

If an offer/request is taken, please consider to STRIKE it rather than taking it down, but it is not essential.

Has anybody ever met up based on this or the previous threads? The criteria is quite strict (must be on the same flight).

I used to do it quite frequently on BA at LHR, but you didn't need to be on the same flight.

That is for guesting. Nothing stopping people meeting up who are on different flights but who already have lounge access and are in the same lounge at the same time. I've done this many times, sometimes planned in advance and others last minute or accidental.

This thread is all about guesting... Why else would you put "Offer" or "Request"?

I agree that criterion is strict if guesting, but I have found that it works best for informing other FT members that a meet up in either lounge is possible if other members are airside at the same time and want to meet. I have had two communications for a meet up since I joined FT in 2017, one took place, the other didn't.

One successful meet up, one unsuccessful (different concourse and not enough time). One unsuccessful attempt to guest - not on same flight and tried to blag it but no go.

The format used to contain "Happy to Help" or "Happy to Meet" IIRC, which gave it more scope. I'm not sure why/when it changed.

Unfortunately no. You need to have at least gold membership. But thanks for wanting to offer!

See attached chart.

Sorry to see that this thread has gone a bit silent... I'm sure there's a lot of us going to & fro this summer so I've loaded my upcoming flights to the thread and hope to meet or help someone enter a lounge one of these days
