Expiring Miles
I have 300K miles expiring end of August. Unlikely to be traveling internationally for a few more years. Would hate to lose out on these miles. It appears I can get the Emirates branded silver mastercard for $99. According to the terms miles will not expire as long as you have the card. I'd have to pay a few years of annual fee before the miles were used.
Bad decision, smart decision....thoughts?

I've read the terms and conditions for the card and it seems that you're right
"No Miles Expiry
I would do it if I were you. Get the card and get the sign-up bonus, which is not much, to justify the card's annual fee for the first two years.
"No Miles Expiry
- Skywards Miles are normally valid for a period of three years from the date they were earned as stated in the standard Emirates Skywards Program Rules.
- As a benefit of having the Emirates Skywards Rewards World Elite Mastercard, Skywards Miles belonging to the primary cardmember will not expire as long as they have an open Card Account in Good Standing.
- If the Card Account is closed, Emirates Skywards will communicate an adjusted expiry date for any Miles that should have expired as per the standard Emirates Skywards Program Rules.
- The adjusted expiry date will be two months from the Card Account closure date."
I would do it if I were you. Get the card and get the sign-up bonus, which is not much, to justify the card's annual fee for the first two years.

I have 24,000 miles and my wife has 28,000 miles which expire in August. We're both Blue members. I'm not sure when we will be able to fly on EK in the near future. What can I do with these miles? Doesn't see like it would, but would a family account with a Mastercard extend all miles? Is there a charity they could be donated to?

At the beginning of Covid I used up all my miles by buying stuff from the Emirates shop. Not sure if that option is still available?
