Security at Manchester, UK

Seeing and hearing nightmares about security at Manchester, UK. Queue times running into hours.

Any been through here recently as a business class passenger? Which security line could you use, priority (invitation only), or fast track?

The Priority / Fastrack is the same thing these days. It used to be different, but not anymore (unless it's changed in the last couple of months).

The general security queues have been grim, but Fastrack seems to be OK (apart from on report that came out yesterday where Fastrack seemed to be overwhelmed).

MAN continues to be one of the worst run airports in the UK - Mrs NoY flew from there last week & it was a sh@@-show. Not least because of the long delays to get through Fast Slow! Track (c40 mins is not OK, Manchester) & the usual surly selection of staff "managing" things. Sigh.

Sorry, but just to be clear, I do get access to fast track included in my business class ticket and I don't have to purchase it separately?

Ah yes, I should have been even clearer Thanks!
That's reminded me to purchase fast track for arrival on the return. Anything that helps me avoid or reduce queuing time with 2 young kids!

MAN has stopped selling Fasttrack at the moment. Everyone was buying it due to the recent issues - which meant it was pretty worthless

fast track arrivals is a life saver, it means you can get a good spot at the carousel to wait 2 hours for your bags 🙈

Fast track is still available for arrivals.

This is sounding like it's going to be great fun!

Dnata seem to be OK at MAN, so bags shouldn't be an issue.

Yesterday a friend took an EK flight in Biz, there was no fast track open and security queue alone was minimum 3 hours.

Reported on the BBC that the boss of MAN has resigned over the ongoing issues

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan...ester-61002096

Manchester Airport's managing director is to stand down amid criticism of long security queues which have led to passengers missing flights.

Manchester Airports Group (MAG) said Karen Smart had decided to leave the business after eight years.

Earlier, Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham said police and fire and rescue service staff could be drafted in to help tackle the chaos.
