Could someone explain why EK requires a PCR test to fly to the US?
I am thoroughly confused.
The US government only requires an antigen test to enter the US, for US citizens.
I cannot figure out why EK is requiring a PCR test. Can someone explain the reasoning?

That's incorrect. The US government does not require a PCR test.
Furthermore, you can board a EK plane in ATH or MXP with an antigen test.
This isn't worldwide either. You can board an EK plane to the UK from DXB without a PCR test. So I still don't understand why EK is doing this for US-bound flights.
