Complicated Baggage Question
In October/November we are flying MEL-CPT (one way) then CPT-IAD-CPT, all on EK. We want to check two of three suitcases through to CPT but pick up the third suitcase when we stop over in DXB. We want to leave this third suitcase at a friend's place in DXB and then collect it and check it in when we stop over on the IAD-CPT leg.
In case anyone cares, the third case is not needed until our final destination (CPT) and it would be a pain carting it to the U.S. and back if we don't have to.

So leave it, it's not an issue. Since its a "we" then you just have to tag them to different passengers as the same passenger can't have bags going to different destinations
