Brilliant Emirates service

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to be getting older - definitely better than the alternative - but now have the challenges of Senior Moments. Had one such recently at DXB when transferring from flight from the UK to onward flight to Tokyo Narita. Arrived at a C gate and after security I was rearranging the contents of my hand baggage. I took out a small organiser bag, but in that Senior Moment neglected to put it back in and waltzed off to the A gate lounge leaving it behind. By the time I had realised what I had done it was too late to go back, but a very helpful Emirates lady at the lounge gave me the email of Emirates Lost and Found. At this point I had pretty much given up any hope of ever seeing the pocket camera, laptop charger and sundry other small items that I had left in the organiser bag.
Back in Tokyo I thought that I might as well give it a shot and sent an email to [email protected]. Much to my delight and surprise after a few emails were exchanged they let me know that they'd found the item and were putting it on the next plane to NRT. The EK Narita Services Officer contacted me. I had the choice of either going out to the airport to pick it up (zero cost) or he offered to send it to me by delivery service (quick, cheap and reliable in Japan) if I'd pay the delivery charge. I was happy to do that (cheaper than getting to the airport and saved me a three or four hour round trip.)
All in all absolutely brilliant and helpful service from EK, especially appreciated by this old f*rt..

Nice story and in general we've had broadly positive reports regarding Lost & Found at DXB, thiuth them sending it out to NRT is a nice touch, IIRC they can't do this to the UK due to local regulations so they FedEx it from DXB
