Flex Plus Fare Increase??

Has anyone noticed a FLEX plus Fare increase?? Up to this year,IF I bought a FLEX Plus Fare to Bangkok, it would be about 1100. I notice it when up to $1500, and thus for a RT I would be out $3000 versus of $2200. The regular FLEX fares are the same.

Has anyone else noticed this? Why is Emirates increasing the FLEX Plus fares to its most loyal customers? I buy the flex plus fares to increase my tier miles to maintain my gold status, and to use less mileage when upgrading.

Any comments on this

It is charging more since it reckons that it can make more money by charging more for those that want the flexibility that flex plus offers

If you still pay for flex plus, then it has assessed correctly in relation to your travel

What does loyalty have to do with fare pricing?

Yeah nothing to do with loyalty, also keep in mind EK has multiple Flex Plus fare buckets, perhaps the lower priced ones are just sold out for your dates? Fares get amended and refiled all the time, you can't expect them to be the same.

EK need to make enough to pay a bonus this year with a straight face

Flex Plus customers generally are buying on schedule, not on price, so they have pricing power to do it. Few people buy it to get extra tier miles!

Have you been pricing up as a return or one way trips? A return ticket is not usually double the price of two one ways....
Two one way tickets will generally be more expensive than a return ticket.

Example:

One Way Ticketing - GLA-BKK 13/02/19. EK26-EK372 - One Way fare Y Flex Plus 753.80. BKK-GLA 27/02/19. EK377-EK27 - One Way fare Y Flex Plus 871.53 (approx) Total 1625.33
Return Ticketing - GLA-BKK 13/02/19. EK26-EK372 - Outbound fare Y Flex Plus 637.80. BKK-GLA 27/02/19. EK377-EK27 - Inbound fare Y Flex Plus 562.90 Total 1200.70
