First Class award - MLE-DXB

First Class award - MLE-DXB
I was able to book two business class seats MLE-DXB (EK657, Feb 3, 2019), continuing in first class DXB-JFK (EK201, Feb 4, 2019) with an overnight in Dubai using Skyward miles (two separate awards). I am trying to determine my chances of Emirates opening up two more seats in first on the MLE-DXB segment. Expertflyer shows only 2 of 8 seats filled. Any insight on my chances of two additional seats opening up for award travel? Anyone taken this short 4+ hour flight give any insight on if spending the additional miles is "worth it?" Any comments are appreciated.

Depends on on how many extra miles it is vs what you’ve spent already but I’d suggest in Feb which is peak season you may struggle to get upgrade seats and if you can it may well be at check in.
mle airport is a dump and it’s a short flight.
