Cheapest route to Platinum?!

Hi folks

I’ve been Gold with Emirates for the last 4 years and never really bothered with Platinum as I, typically, only got to about 100k tier miles p.a. However, the last few months have seen some chunky travel that will take me to 147,500 tier miles for the 13 month period,
once I include a big trip next month.

Ive got a couple of Business Flex sectors booked from DXB - BNE and SIN - DXB that I could upgrade to F to try and bump the tier miles up. Does anyone know roughly how much the upgrade price from J Flex to F is? Or is there another way?!?

This is worth calling EK for. On certain rotes the switch from J Flex to F is not very significant in price so maybe ask them to look at a couple of your itineraries.

You could also do a day hop on EK5123 or 5145 in J BNE-AKL (I think around 850 AUD) and you’ll get over the line.

Which would be QF operated as QF123 & QF119.
EK now only flys SYD - CHC with EK metal

Indeed, on the CPT/Europe routes the difference between J Flex and F Saver can be in the order of U$ 100. And F Saver gives the same tier miles as F Flex.
