Last week, I decided to take advantage of the highly advertised Emirates & Fly Dubai code share agreement and modify one of my flights to a Fly Dubai operated flights.Definitely, one of the worst decision I took since I started flying Emirates, 367 flights ago!
- To select a seat, I had to contact Fly Dubai. Emirates can't do it
- No access to the Business class check-in.
- No priority tag to the luggage.
- No access to the lounge.
- No priority boarding
- No Fast-track at Dubai Airport T2 (and E-gate doesnt work there
The code-share with Fly Dubai, for Emirates passengers, with an Emirates ticket, its a scam!

This is an excerpt from the press release about the codeshare flights:
More benefits for frequent flyers
Emirates Skywards members earn Skywards miles and Skywards Tier Miles on codeshare flights as per the existing Skywards programme.
In addition to the Emirates free checked baggage allowance, Skywards Premium members can also enjoy their extra checked baggage allowances of 20kg (Platinum members) 16kg (Gold members) and 12kg (Silver members) on codeshare flights operated by flydubai.
Skywards Silver, Gold and Platinum members travelling on codeshare flights can access flydubai’s Business Check-in counters and receive priority tags.
According to that, you should have been allowed access to the business check in and priority tags but no mentions of lounge access, priority boarding or fast track.

When I flew on a FZ/EK codeshare I was able to check in through the FZ business counters and get the priority tag. I do agree that T2 is a dump though.
Oh and the free meal they give you consists of only the entree and some water. ...
