Wrong Status in EK System

Wrong Status in EK System

CDG-DXB-SYD in Y - issue mainly re lounge access as a result of system error.

I've just hit QF Gold whilst in the middle of a trip to Europe. As such, I don't have a new gold card yet.

Now I have an issue with my return flights home on Emirates (Qantas codeshare). Emirates are saying that my status has not updated from QF Silver to QF Gold and as such I won't be able to access the EK Lounge in CDG and DXB as QF Silver will be printed on BP.

Called QF who said that it showed QF Gold on their end (obviously) and they didn't know why it was showing QF Silver on Emirates and why it had not updated. Deleted, refreshed, re-added FF number. Got told systems dont talk to each other instantly and that there is no live feed. Its been a few days - EK still saying there system shows QF Silver.

Ive been told this should update at check-in? I am not getting my hopes up!

New QF Gold card hasnt come so I think I will just show them where it says Gold in the Qantas app and hope that does the trick

Has anyone had a similar issue, if so how did you rectify and DID it update at check-in? Doesn't look like QF and EK systems talk to each other (although that isn't really surprising)
