Combining bookings
I have tried to search but without much luck
If two people book tickets separately, can they be joined after?
Ie. My gf and I book separately. I would like to put her on my booking reference after the fact.
Is this posisble?
I have not booked the tickets yet
Thanks in advance

I did this a couple of years back. We both booked separately (due to earning miles on respective credit cards for EK purchase) then called EK and had them put my wifes booking on my PNR.
Worked a treat - as we were op-up'd both ways (DXB-CMB). She was skywards blue at the time and this was before the fare type had a bearing on op-up status.

I my case it was not that good....
I had this situation one month ago.
Two PNR due to using miles to book from to accounts.
I've called Emirates office in Poland and they told me that after booking it is not possible to put two persons on one PNR.
The only option was to add "note" that we are travelling together.

So she can benefit from my gold status when travelling with me.
If it does not matter whether we are not on the same PNR but she can check in with me and board etc then it doesnt matter and we can book separately.
I did call the call centre and they said it could not be done.

technically even on the same PNR there is no explicit entitlement to priority check-in or boarding, though practically i don't think anyone will stop you.
For lounge access it's completely irrelevant, the only thing that matters is being on the same onward flight.

no need to be on same PNR.

Seems like the easiest option, will do that
