List of Valid Dubai Connect Destinations

Hi all,

Is there a tool (or maybe a clever ITA matrix search?) that can be used to view all of the valid Dubai Connect destinations from a given departure point.

For e.g. I am looking at heading on holiday in November this year, and am playing with a few destinations that EK flies to. Being able to throw in a free stopover and visit some friends in Dubai would probably swing the choice in that destinations favour!

It depends on the schedule.

If your itinerary qualifies, the booking tool tells you.

If you are coming from a high-frequency route - such as London - then you are unlikely to ever qualify, as there will always be a flight arriving close to the departure of the onward flight to the final destination.

You can add a free stopover (in the civil aviation sense, a stop >24 hours enroute to a final destination) on any EK ticket (excl. hotel & visa, but to stop for 3 days on the way has no additional fare vs to connect direct).

Dubai Connect becomes available when there is no shorter connection on the same day for any combination of flights (incl. a earlier/later departing flight from the origin), even if the shorter connection is more expensive. Given EK's schedules it is unfortunately kind of difficult to find itineraries with such long layovers (used to be easier) as EK often has multiple flights a day. If you're flying from CPT take into consideration that the 3 daily flights ex CPT arrive between midnight and 8am in DXB, so your best bet for Dubai Connect is to a destination where the only flight departed between 4pm and 11pm DXB time, thus forcing a long layover.

The other option is to book relatively last minute when all other flights are sold out, this has worked for me ex CPT before, but prices overall will be higher and of course harder to plan ahead of time (and a gamble if you're doing it just to get DC).

Thanks! This may be my best option. Now need to figure out all the destinations (if any) depart all its flights between 4 and 11!

You obviously aren't in CPT at the moment if you think such a big document will load in a minute

Thanks!

Blerg, my kingdom for the PDF in excel form. Not sure trying to read through every CPT departure is worth the hassle.. Especially since I'm 10 pages down and haven't seen a single flight that leaves after midday, never mind 4pm!

It's off peak for DXB and most flights then wouldn't be the only daily to that destination. There are a ton of evening departures to India but again, not the only dailies.

@RichardAtCT Try this: http://pdfconverter.ehubsoft.net/

Haven't used it myself, but I don't see why it wouldn't work for you...

If you actually do a lot of conversions and also happen to need a document management service (that you're willing to pop some money for), you might try these guys too: https://www.cometdocs.com/

It appears to convert to pdf, not from pdf which is what the OP requires.

Though why a .xls file is preferred over a .pdf is not clear!
