Exit after security check

Hi all,

next week, in the early morning, my wife and my daughter will fly out of HAM. Daughter is very young, 7 months, we had already done 6 flights with her so we know how is flying with baby, especially with our baby.

On the same day, but late evening I will have a fly out of HAM (EK J); after I brought them to airport, I will go back home and chauffeur will pick me up in the early evening. Between two flights there are 14 hrs, so of course I will not wait at airport.

I would like to bring them till gate; if I check-in online the day before with EK, could I then clear security, go to gate (gate of my wife) and then exit when they are departed?

Of course I will clear security without luggage (but with a valid BP).
But flight, as said, will be 14hrs later, a little be unusual to clear security so early.

Or maybe better to buy a refundable ticket, check-in, security checks and then cancel the ticket?
I read here on FT that someone bought a ref. ticket just to use another lounge instead of the actual lounge he had to use with his original ticket.

Does it sound insane? I think more from security point of view.

Thanks

I believe you will be better served by having this thread to the Emirates Forum.
Best wishes....

Why don't you just ask the airline for a gate pass to allow you the ability to help them until they board the plane? I have never been to HAM, but when my wife, or mother was traveling alone, I was able to join them at the gate until they left. It's not an uncommon request.

Gate passes are not common outside the US.

I think this thread has been mistakenly moved the three EK forum. It should have been moved to the Germany forum.
