upgraded to first on second flight as silver

last night while standing in line for boarding many people got called up for new boarding passes, resulting in happy faces.

agent had new first boarding pass ready for me as well.
first time I saw every suite in first taken

servce was actually a bit slow, but no complaints 🍾👍😉

What route? What ticket were you on? There is an upgrade thread you should post the details there...

It needs to be a sticky if posters are expected to see and use it.

OP: Here's a link. Please add your information in the format used there.

Nice one

Although ..... not quite a cigar*. I do believe we had a case a while back of someone getting a similar move - BUT on their very first EK flight and so, as a mere blue.

Sadly, after hitting the jackpot that day, they didn't get a single upgrade during their next 100 flights.

(actually ....I made up the last sentence)

*no cigar in ANY class these days of course .....

cape Town has to be one of worst routes to try bag any form of redemption in the form of upgrade, op-up and actual seat redemption using miles in all classes.

Agree - its one route I do pay F for, especially as every time I've flown it its been 8/8

I've got a 100% record from there (1 from 1).

I have got one op-up (DXB/CPT) and one mileage upgrade (both for 2 pax, J-> F) in probably 20 flights.
