Multi-city ticket & checked baggage question

Experts,

If I have a multi-city ticket on Emirates, say from BOS-DBX-BLR with 3 day break at DBX, will my baggage is checked all the way through BLR or only to DBX where I need to collect my baggage and check-in again when continuing the journey.

Thanks.

You will need to collect your bag at DXB (not DBX!) as the stop exceeds 24hrs.

Is that the common practice with any airlines multi-city ticketing or only in case it exceeds 24 hrs gap? What if I book a multi-city ticket with, say around 3-4 hrs gap (to choose my own connections) can I request agent to book all the way to my final destination?

Thanks again, appreciate your response.

Yes, if the connection is <24 hours, your luggage will be transferred automatically. Unless you're arriving into the US, where you need to go through customs at the point of entry. Maybe the same in Australia?
