Emirates Twitter Support

So I sent a tweet to @emirates support about the UK strikes.

They replied "We'll call you"

5 mins later I got a calll!

Outstaning service! Although they still have no idea on the impact to my flight on Friday

Yes their Twitter team is my go to in case of queries. I've had responses as quick as 1 minute and they're actually helpful with a range of things like booking wheelchairs (for my grandparents not myself), checking a family bonus miles issue misspelt name, my mistake, but attention to detail that they picked it up as the reason), ordering a surprise cake for a friend (sh, don't tell aceboy!). They're really quite good

In contrast right now I'm in CAI in a J revenue ticket with *A Gold and they're treating me like a stray dog... Really missing EK.

Also in contrast to EY support here in FT itself. Everything resolves to "send an email to..."

Are you flying to MAN? If so, you should be fine as Swissport don't handle EK.

I tweeted about DXB-BHX on 23/12 and was told that Swissport don't work with Emirates at BHX. I now wonder if that is not true.

The issue is what Swissport do actually do at these airports that may impact EK.

It seems EK use Dnata, however I've no idea on the above.

I may not always be too complimentary of EK in my posts, having to bear with them - and they with me - on too many flights, but I have to say for me as EK Plat their support services (I usually just e-mail) has been very good over the years and pretty much the best other than LX HON (but then again that is more like IO than Plat).

Not that I would know of. I simply use the contact form on the website (after logging in with my Skywards number) and to my big surprise it is actually highly efficient!

I sent in a complaint re. delayed F class baggage delivery. Had a cut & paste acknowledgment later the same day. The next day had a personalised acknowledgment that they would investigate. Three days later an apology and service recovery credit of 20,000 miles. Can't complain at that when people flying BA are waiting weeks or months even for some kind of feedback to complaints.

Called the CS line when my DXB-GLA F flight had an equipment swap to a 2 class. Agent changed my flights in a couple of minutes to resolve.

I have no complaints thus far with EK customer service or support. They seem to do a decent job (for me anyway ).

I've not engaged in the Twittery thing yet (just getting to grips with Instagram (m3red))

Yes actually my experience with the phone agents at EK has also been very positive. Less successful on the e-mail, website thing, however, but never really true complaints but attempts at constructive feedback which big corporations never really know how to deal with. ("There's a bug on your website that causes X instead of Y to happen, just thought I'd let you know." "Thanks for your feedback, we are sorry to hear about this, please provide us with your booking reference so we can investigate further." )

Going by what I read on the other two ME3 forums, I think we've got it pretty good with EK

Why won't they engage with us here on FT? I don't do the others.

I think it would be good if they had some sort of official rep here on the forum. It certainly works on the BA forum. On the EY forum they help with individual cases but never really seem to find out what the outcome was to a lot of the questions asked.
