AKL check in opening time
Hi guys
I'm travelling to BNE from AKL. The flight leaves around 6pm.
There is a flight to SYD that leaves around 4pm
The check in will probably open 3-4 hours before the flight, as I will be at the airport early do you think I can check in once they open for the Syd flight or will I have to wait until 3-4 hours before mine?
I am QF Platinum, what is the best lounge to use qf or ek?
Thanks guys

imho the EK lounge is better than the QF F lounge next door but it only opens at 1300.

Definitely the EK lounge, the QF F lounge is immensely underwhelming.
It is usually quiet though, and the 4x A380 flights around the same time mean the EK lounge fills up very quickly.
But no doubt food, drink and ambience are on a completely different level. QF were supposedly looking at refurbishing the lounge (almost defintiely to a combined J/F space), but no word on that recently.

I was there on Saturday and you can definitely check in more than 3 hours before the Brisbane flight. In fact there was someone who arrived in the lounge before 4:30pm who was on the non-stop flight to Dubai (EK449), which doesn't leave until 21:15! I suspect they open 3 hours before the Sydney flight which leaves at 16:30. The lounge opens at 13:00.

In my experience EK check in at AKL opens about 3.5 hours before the first flight. If the first flight is running late it might be 3 hours before scheduled departure.
No problem checking in for a later flight - as long as any EK check in desk is open you can check in for any of their same day flights.
