Shocking service last night...

First world problems yes but I expect better from EK First.

No wine list loaded.

No cold champagne after take off.

Ran out of champagne 3 hours in?!!!

Awful butter chicken. Inedible.

No red wine with the meal I asked for.

Went to the bar came back and glass and rubbish not cleared.

Awful lazy crew.

Wife not happy = m3red with ear ache.

Another example (BKK to DXB in 1st).

Seat locked in upright for 15 minutes after ding. Then locked again after returning from shower with still 40 minutes to go before landing.

No bed make-up service.

No Emirates dates or welcome coffee service.

No menu or wine list presented before asking what I wanted to drink and when I wanted to eat.

And inoperable flight status on ICE.

Terribly lazy crew.

Next flight DXB to IAD (1st) was perfect.

Not first world problems, just first class problems

But I agree - unacceptable. Let us know what Customer Affairs replies with!

Do Emirates stock for the round trip? So, they load 20 bottles for the round trip, but 15 get consumed outbound, leaving only 5 for m3red.

Apparently so. 8 bottles went in 3 hours. Not enough for 14/14 with a 7 hour flight.

Come to think of it, I experienced much the same flying out of LGW recently, however there were only 8/14 in F. Champagne was room temperature and only enough to serve pre & after take-off drinks.

Thankfully m3red had mentioned a certain Red, so was happy to indulge in that instead.

What route? Was it an intra Gulf flight? I've never seen service like this except occasionally on a DXB-DOH/Bah flight

Singapore to Dubai. We've been offered 25k points each - I'm not sure what I think about that. Well it's not even half of what it would cost to upgrade a saver j to f so I'm not happy.

This was paid first for what it's worth.

Well it is at least better than when I complained after some similar issues last year (service rather than wine!) - the reply was essentialy that after discussion with the purser it was clear that I was lying. As a result I am spreading my business more widely. Although I will still fly with EK and thoroughly enjoyed a recent trip in F to NZ, the response to my complaint has cost them 2 pax return LHR to MLE in J (QR) and a BHX-JNB rtn in J (LX).

When I read this I was just thinking what a damned lucky guy I am. Just reached my 3M lifetime Tier-Miles with Emirates the worst thing what happened to me was that somebody took my IO car at the remote stand and let the purser and me left quite confused.

It was not good enough for the price paid.
