Emirates with their partner airlines
What can you say about the partnership of EK with their partner airlines in terms of redeeming a rewards booking? Is it at its best, good, bad, or worst, and why? Can you share your experience/s? Thanks for sharing.

Actually did it yesterday for an EK reward on JL. Eternaltransit is right - EK (and QF and BA for that matter) seem to go out of their way to make it difficult to claim the reward on a partner airline but you'll get it with perseverance.
My advice is to use EF to start with to see if there are award seats available, although you can't do this for JL so I used the BA site instead. Once you've established that there are reward seats available for the day you're looking for, phone your local EK call centre during business hours and they'll do it all for you straight away if those seats really are available. It's about a 10 minute process over the phone. Don't use the online rewards request form on the EK website. They take at least a few hours to respond and the seats might not be available by the time they check.
