Meal Service Longhaul 3am Departures in F

Is the meal service on longhaul flights out of DXB in F (to IAD, JFK, SEA, IAH etc..) at 3am lackluster? In other words, they don't serve a full type of dinner service, since most people are looking to sleep?

Wouldn't all F meal services be on demand?

I have very limited () experiences in EK F, but that is how the meal service was described to me.

This.

We flew DXB-JFK on the 3am departure, could order anything we wanted and did.
I ate a full meal at 4am, although we had connected from CPT.

Great, thank you. I want to get on Seattle time on my flight, and would like to stay awake for the first 5-6 hours, and then go to sleep. Any links to reviews/trip reports of flights that leave at that hour?

As said, it's all on demand, so, do what you like - however, if you're looking for a full dinner pre-departure, I'd recommend the F lounge instead!

Maybe not a bad idea. But I'd like to stay awake for the first few hours to get on US time.

Under the"Experience" tab on the EK home page you can select " see what's on my flight" and pull up the menus for a specific flight and the full entertainment list.

EK crew will happily serve you anything you want at anytime. Service should be far from lacklustre throughout the whole flight.

As others have stated meal time is on demand, whatever you want when you want. They only ask for about 20mins heads up before you want to each to prepare your meal. I've taken this flight several times and personally have taking advantage of a superb meal in the lounge before my flight which I highly recommend. As far as combating jetlag - reserve a shower about 90mins prior to landing, it really helps!
