Do we disembark in BKG

I am booked on EK385 from HKG to DXB.

En route we touch down at Bangkok for 1 Hour 50 mins for taking off again. I was wondering if we disembark or do we stay on board the plane ?

This is not entirely correct for EK385.

For EK384 DXB-BKK-HKG and EK385 HKG-BKK-DXB, passengers are required to stay on board during the transit
For EK418 DXB-BKK-SYD, passengers must disembark the aircraft and reboard (they need to spray the plane)
For EK419 SYD-BKK-DXB, passengers have a choice of either disembarking the aircraft or staying on board

What about EK385 HKG-->BKK-->DXB

The transit time is 1hr 50 mins and I really do not fancy being stuck on board for that length of time, going nowhere

I believe I answered that in the 2nd line of my post.

You will have full IFE available whilst on the ground and can of course, get up and walk around.

From memory, service stops as the crew changes, and at one point you have to remain in your seat as you have to claim your hand luggage and show your passport as agents work through the cabin.

They also clean the plane around you.

Not the best experience, so make sure to set aside a movie to watch on ice!
