Flights Ex MRU

Our last trip to the Indian Ocean I had a shock when I discovered the flight from the Maldives to Dubai was dry !!!

Am I going to have the same experience coming home from Mauritius?

MLE nor MRU are dry.

The only thing to watch for is taking booze into MLE which is not allowed.

MRU is great, must go back now its 2 x 380 daily.

Eh? We took QR to MLE from DOH; lots of booze. Hopefully the same going to MRU (in the early stages of planning).

PS Anyone have a general idea about inventory for D availability from DXB-MRU? Looked out to April, and no D availability with 6 seats occupied on our desired flight. Heck, IAD-DXB has 2 seats occupied with no D availability.

Expert flyer is broken at the moment.

Its also Easter in April this year - you may not get MRU availability until the last minute.

IIRC, Easter was indeed in April this year, ie 2015. But I'm pretty sure that was around 6 months ago , so not exactly relevant wrt future availability !

I think the issue for pokeable is about next year - when Easter is actually in March.

(or have I misread things here ....?)

Based on my knowledge of EK the only dry flight is Dubai to Saudi Arabia so Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam and Medina.

As I said the Male flight was about 5 years ago and was def dry. Offered apple or orange juice on boarding (in Business) and no wine with meal even. At the time the Bus lounge at Male was also dry.

On to better news - our trip to MRU is now in Business :-)
As the BHX to DXB legs are 777 and the DXB to MRU presumably we will be in the A380 Hub Lounge on the way out and a different lounge on the way home?
Any tips?
Outbound will be early morning and inbound very late at night.
